The story which will have the biggest impact this week on the Green Finance industry was the delay to the implementation of the EU’s standards on sustainable finance, which are aimed at qualifying what is ‘green’.
Sticking with European Institutions, a paper has been released by the ECB and EBRD (Ralph De Haas and Alexander A. Popov) concluding that economies with higher levels of equity funding have lower emissions per capita. Potentially meaning that investment in stocks and share has more climate benefits than fixed-income.
Finally, the fall out from last week’s climate strike continues with a surge in news and announcements.
